Alhaurin el Grande is situated in the Guadalhorce Valley, in the Malaga province of Andalucia. It is just 19 kms inland of the coast, at the foot of the northern slopes of the Mijas Mountains with its pine tree forests. This is an area particularly rich in fruit and vegetable patches and has many palm tree and plant growers that supply plants for the whole of the Malaga region.
