La Alegria Restaurante
A couple of weeks ago, we enjoyed a lovely evening out with our good friends Jean and Jim. We chose to visit La Alegria, situated on C/ Gerald Brenan, we sat inside the beautifully decorated restaurant (although on a warmer evening we would always choose a table outside and watch the world go by). Restaurante La Alegria offer a "Menu del Dia", at lunch or dinnertime, three courses for just 12,50€
To start the meal, three of us had nice spicy Prawn Pil Pil's with freshly baked bread rolls to dip in and soak up the lovely olive oil, garlic and chilli sauce. The other starter was a lovely big plateful of tropical salad and of course there were vaious other options to chose from ... soups, mussels in sauce etc. We couldnt resist for main course the entrecote steak, chips and vegetables - although I had mine with "no potatas solo verduras" - no potatoes only vegetables. Alternatively there was a good choice of fish and meat dishes as well as seafood paella. Desserts on offer range from traditional Spanish desserts, icecreams, fruit or a coffee - all I could fit in was a cafe solo!
A lovely evening, wonderful food and great value ..... what more do you want on your next holiday to Andalucia.
