We are often asked about somewhere to go to enjoy the local tapas - we always say to try any
of the bars and restaurants in Alhaurin el Grande as they all offer a good selection of tapas.

However, a 15 minute drive away there is a wonderful tapas bar called Lazarran - just take the Fuengirola road and drive right to the end, take the right turn for the Miramar shopping centre, you will see Lazarran on the right (next to Iceland Overseas).

Choose your table and sit down, the waiter will take your drinks order. You then walk to the bar, take a plate and help yourself to a selection of tapas. Return to your table and enjoy! Then you will find they walk round offering you different tapas and of course you can go up to the bar and help yourself to more as well.

When you are finished, ask for the bill (La cuenta, por favor) they total your bill by counting the number of tooth picks / cocktail sticks you have, there is a different charge for each type of stick.
