Fuente de Piedra

The village of Fuente de Piedra is most famous for its "Laguna".

The National Park and Lake, which is the largest natural lake in the region - 2.5km wide and 6.5km long, is a haven for birds with over 170 different species recorded here.

It is best known for its flamingo population being the only inland site on the continent where they breed.

Spring time is the best time to visit as the flamingos are attracted by the water's high salt content and the fact that it is shallow.

This is a perfect day out for guests at El Roble who have come to enjoy a bird watching holiday.
