- alternatively if you decide to approach Alhaurin El Grande from the coast please note you MUST travel through “Mijas Pueblo” to reach Alhaurin el Grande as the other road from the coast is closed for road works.
On leaving the airport following the N340 Malaga, Cadiz sign
At first roundabout go straight across you will travel along the side of the San Miguel beer factory.
Keep to the right hand lane and follow the sign for the N340 Cadiz
At this part of the journey please keep to right hand lane and measure the distance of 1km (as this junction is easy to miss) take the junction signposted C344 to Alhaurin El Grande and Coin (As you take this junction you will see a Burger King on your left hand side)
After approximately 200 yards take the turn for the A366 to Alhaurin De La Torre
At the next roundabout go straight on for Alhaurin De La Torre
Keep driving along this road for quite a distance ignoring the small roundabouts until you completely pass through the Urbanisation of Alhaurin De La Torre
As you leave Alhaurin De La Torre, pass the first BP garage and drive straight on at the next roundabout ( Large Electricity Pylons) at the next roundabout follow the signs for Alhaurin El Grande.
As you approach Alhaurin El Grande there is a roundabout and a BP garage will be on your right hand side, go straight across and drive down the hill and at the roundabout with the stone cross on turn left.
USE THE MAP WITH THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS
Follow this road up and around the hill going straight across 3 roundabouts.
As the road comes down steeply you come to a cross roads turn left.
After about 1Km you will see the restaurant "El Postillon" on your right.
Take the next right, follow the road round to Finca la Mota.
Keep Finca la Mota on your left hand side, go to the end of the road and turn left.
Take the next road on the right, there is green covering on the fence at the corner of this road.
You will now have reached Camino De La Raja, this is the road we live on.
Carry on this road for approximately 1.5 Km when you will see several large Spanish Cork Oak trees on your right hand side and a cream house with round tower, this is El Roble.
